September is Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month
2000 Publicity Kit

Every seven minutes a loved woman - mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt or significant other - will be diagnosed with a gynecologic cancer. Yet many women are unaware of the risks or preventative measures associated with these diseases. To help women protect their bodies and their lives, the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation (GCF) has declared September Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month (GCAM).

During the month of September, GCF urges women to take action and safegard their gynecologic health by incorporating early detection and prevention techniques into their regular health routine.

To maximize the overall impact of GCAM, we have created a publicity kit to help you organize and publicize GCAM in your community. The kit is designed to provide a variety of ways to raise awareness and support GCAM. Included are event ideas, sample media materials, and guidance for generating publicity in your community. Please share this kit with your organization's public relations/community relations department.

We are looking to everyone who supports our efforts to do what they can to promote the campaign. We hope that everyone will take advantage of the GCAM Publicity Kit.
