Mike Burg

Mike Burg, founder of Edge Marketing, Charlotte, NC, turned his 2001 diagnosis of Hodgkin's disease into action to help achieve a cancer-free world.

His award-winning career in sports television pointed him in the direction of creating a series of sports oriented, nationally televised TV shows, known as Frosted Pink, to urge women to take action to become better informed about cancers affecting them. GCF is one of the four not-for-profit partners participating in this series, now in third year.

Because of Mike's efforts during the past two years, he has made it possible for GCF to reach an audience of over 13 million viewers and 100 million total media impressions. GCF also has received over $35,000 to date as a result of Frosted Pink.
